Privacy policy

Effective date: 19 October 2026

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") is issued by the publisher of the Teebots desktop application and this website ("we", "us"). It applies to your use of the application and the website (together, the "Services"). Please read it before you use the Services. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

1.Scope

1.1This Policy applies to the Teebots desktop application and this website.

1.2The application runs locally on your computer. The website does not offer user accounts and does not require registration.

2.Information stored on your device

2.1The following are stored on your computer: conversations, each bot's private memory, a group's shared memory, files in a workspace, browser sign-in data, and model API keys that you enter.

2.2We do not receive that information, and we cannot view the contents of your conversations with bots.

3.Model providers

3.1When you use your own API key, requests are sent from your computer directly to the model provider you select. They are not transmitted through our servers.

3.2A request may include the conversation, other context the bot needs to carry out the task, and the API key.

3.3The provider's own terms and privacy policy govern its storage and use of that information.

3.4The Services do not currently offer an official-model sign-in, and we do not relay model requests. If that function is introduced, we will update this Policy before it becomes available and state the path those requests take.

4.Browser, files, and commands

4.1Each bot may have its own browser. When a bot opens, reads, clicks, or fills in a page, that website receives the information ordinarily sent by a normal visit.

4.2Before submitting a form, making a payment, or entering a password, the bot stops and waits for your confirmation. It does not continue without that confirmation.

4.3A bot may read and write files in its workspace and may run commands. Commands are not executed in a fully isolated environment. A network request made by a command does not pass through us, and its contents depend on the command.

5.Skills and external tools

5.1Skills already present on your computer remain on that computer.

5.2If you install a plugin from the catalog, the application downloads the plugin's files from the source repository. The request identifies the client as Teebots and does not include your conversations or API keys.

5.3An MCP server or other tool that you connect receives the information that tool sends. We do not operate those servers.

6.Software updates

6.1An installed copy that is able to update itself requests a version manifest from release.teebots.ai and, when an update is installed, downloads the package from that host.

6.2That request does not include conversations, API keys, or an account identifier. The server that hosts the file can see the information produced by an ordinary network connection, such as an IP address.

6.3A development build does not update itself.

7.This website

7.1The website consists of static pages. We do not place analytics or advertising on those pages.

7.2When you visit an address without a language prefix, the website may read the language preference sent by your browser. A Chinese preference opens the Chinese pages. Any other preference opens the English pages. That preference is not written to a cookie.

7.3The website writes a cookie named teebots-locale only after you select a language in the language menu. The cookie records that choice for one year. Merely opening a link shared by someone else does not change it. You may delete the cookie in your browser.

8.Processing we do not undertake

8.1We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

8.2Because neither the application nor the website requires registration, we do not maintain a user profile that can be signed in to.

9.Children

9.1The Services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10.Changes to this Policy

10.1If this Policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If you continue to use the Services after that date, you accept the revised Policy.
